The Association:
1. Promotes the organization of interested scholars to increase the quality of research in Baltic Studies.
2. Sponsors meetings and conferences for the exchange of professional views and the evaluation of research in Baltic Studies.
3. Supports the dissemination of research and other information about Baltic Studies
4. Encourages any other support and recognition of Baltic scholars and studies to help develop increased competence in intra-regional, cross-disciplinary and specialized Baltic studies
